About Jeffrey Michael Walcott Photography
I am a portrait and feature photographer with over 12 years of experience shooting assignments in many areas of the country, including Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine and New York.
For over a decade I've eaten corn on the cob raw. Never boiled, never grilled. No salt and no butter. It’s one of my favorite things. A farmer introduced me to this way of eating corn at one of my first photojournalism assignments while I was in high school. I was covering the disappearing farms in Connecticut that adorn the country roads and while there the farmer jumped out of his truck, grabbed an ear from the nearest stalk and handed it over to me. It was a slice of his life that I was able to experience and adopt as my own.
This is the reason I am photographer. It introduces me to experiences that never would have come my way otherwise. These experiences change me, challenge me, and teach me. Every single person has a story. It’s not enough that I only get to understand a few of them. I want to be influenced and intrigued and motivated by as many people as possible so that I can convey those stories to others and in turn find a better version of myself.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy.
